BERYL JACOBSON
My work as a Designer•Producer•Impressario is drawn from 20 years of creative work in both for profit and not for profit companies, a background and passion for Eco Design, all things with an ecological and sustainable integrity, many years as a musician, traveling the globe to learn, play and be inspired, serving as executive producer and now directing and producing short films that tell a great story.

Today, while I draw from all of these experiences and cultures and journeys, I now find much of my inspiration from my always evolving balance of life with my wife and children and working with growing companies!

Back to the beginning....

I grew up on the east coast in a beach town in southern New Jersey. I went to a Quaker high school called the George School and then made my way after a stop to surf in San Diego for 6 months to Berkeley, California where I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.S. degree in Conservation & Resource Studies in an interdisciplinary major I titled "Re-defining Environmentalism" .

Since then, my many socially-conscious projects have included being the Executive Director of Earth Race, an organization dedicated to raising awareness of environmental issues through sports races and events. I successfully formed partnerships with the City of San Francisco, the Berkeley Ecology Center, Rainforest Action Network, among others. My extensive business experiences, include having founded & operated a music therapy center and having managed a Real Goods Eco & Solar living retail & consulting store.

My musical career had highlights such as playing the Fillmore repeatedly, traveling to Morocco to play for the King, recording some great albums and playing shows that lasted from sunset to sunrise! I co-founded, produced and managed a number of popular touring bands including Mozaik, Hamsa Lila, You, and Kid Kaleidoscope.

Since 2004, I co-founded EQ MEDIA. EQ MEDIA is composed of a group of individuals who have run marketing, creative design companies, video, audio, live event and digital production companies, as well as, specialize in the integration of interactive technologies. The EQ MEDIA umbrella includes other joint ventures and business including The Mobius, Mobius Productions, and EQ.TV (Equilibrium Television). The founders collective life works has revolved around the health, ecological and sustainability movements and always told through the lens of music and film and now through interactive new media and the internet.

Today, I am running my own company called Mozaik Media.  Which this site is really dedicated to, so if you are reading this then you probably already know the diverse terrain...I travel for companies aournd the world...

So...yes...after all of this I find myself everyday creating all kinds of projects in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Flash, and many other new media tools I find to help myself and others express themselves, interact, integrate and engage. Be they or be you an individual, a company, or an organization. I will dig into my experience, my life and my bag of tricks to create a design or new media strategy thathelps you fulfil your vision!
